Sales Manager at a Reputable Oil and Gas Servicing Company

An oil and gas servicing company is seeking to recruit exceptional and highly motivated persons to fill the following positions in its Port Harcourt, Lagos and Warri Offices:


Title: Sales Manager
Ref No: GR/SM-014 Location: Rivers, Lagos, Delta, Abuja

Job Summary
Responsible for managing the sales team, developing a business plan coveting sales, revenue, and expense controls, meeting agreed targets, and promoting the organisation’s presence nationwide
To establish sales objectives and meet the minimum sales requirement by exploring and capturing all sales opportunities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • To establish sales objectives and sheet the minimum sales requirement by exploring and capturing all sales opportunities
  • Responsible for new business and collecting competitors’ intelligence
  • Responsible for obtaining profitable results through the sales team by developing the team through motivation, counselling, skills development and product knowledge development.
  • Manage the sales administration function, operational performance reporting, streamlining processes and systems wherever possible, and advising senior management on maximising business relationships and creating an environment where customer service can flourish,
  • Assist in the development of the annual marketing plan, specifically advising on: realistic forecasts for each product and territory (based on historical data, market trends, competitive activity, promotional strategy and sales effort), realistic costs of operating the sales force; anti sales promotion programme plans.
  • Responsible for monitoring the performance of the sales team by establishing a system of reports and communications involving sales reports, cyclical sales meetings, sales newsletters and electronic bulletins.

  • Intermediate proficiency iii the use of Microsoft Office tools (word, excel and power point)
  • Intermediate communication skills including the ability to prepare reports and presentations

Qualification and Experience
Minimum 5 years of sales and business development experience
BSc. in any field; MRA will be an added advantage
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
