Pre-Degree Programmes Admission into Olabisi Onabanjo University

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Arts. Engineering. Medicine. Pharmacy, Science and Social Sciences Programmes of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye 2012/2013 Pre-Degree Programmes.

The Programmes

The Pre-Degree Programme I

It is two-semester each of 5 weeks duration, designed to prepare candidates for admission into degree programmes in all disciplines of the University.

The Pre-Degree programme ll

It is 10 months intensive coaching designed to prepare candidates for A/Level in WASC and Cambridge as well as lJMB examinations for admissions into Direct entry in any University.

Prospect for Admission into Degree Programmes

Admission into the degree programmes of the University is based strictly on Merit and entry requirements and in proportion to the admission quota for various Faculties/Colleges in the University.

Candidates for admission into Year One (1) of the relevant degree programmes of the University must satisfactionly pass their pre-degree programme examinations and satisfy the minimum matriculation requirements for pursuing degree programmes in Nigerian Universities.

Candidate have the advantages of applying into any Universits of their choice and may not sit for OOU post-UTME. The various degree programmes under each option are as follows:

Admission Requirements

Applicants for admission into the Pre-Degree Programme

Are expected to base a minimum of five O’Level credits at one or two sittings. including English Language; credit in Mathematics and three other Science Subjects for all Seience based coursrs credit in Mathematics and three other Social Science subjects for all Social Sciettee based courses and Credit in four Arts subjects for all Arts based courses. Applicants without complete O’Level credits are encouraged to take advantage of the programme to re-sit their OiLescl examination in order to gain admission into the university

Applicants for admission into Pre-Degree Programme (ll) are expected to base completed 0/Level result and A/Level WASC Cambridge lJMB.

All candidates will he expected to pay for their external examinations as at when due as the school fees are exclusive of external examination fees such as UTME, lJMB, A/LEVEL. WASC and Cambridge.

How To Apply

Prospective applicant is required to obtain an admission form on payment of 8,000  (Eight thousand naira) bank draft from any of the following banks: OOU Micro Finance Bank. First Bank. Wema Bank, Union Bank and Afribank(Main Street). payable to The Pre-Degree, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye.

All completed application forms must he submitted with: Entry Credentials and 2 self-stamped addressed envelopes, to the Pre-Degree Office. Olabisi Onabamo University, Ago-lwoye.
