Centre for Integrated Health Programs (CIHP) Store Officers Vacancies (4 Positions)


Centre for Integrated Health Programs (CIHP) is a leading indigenous non-governmental organization that promotes better healthcare for all Nigerians through the creation of strong and sustainable health systems. CIHP is consistent with global orientation towards the transfer of program management and implementation responsibilities of donor-supported programs to indigenous organizations. This is aimed at increasing local ownership, funding effectiveness and strengthening of local talent for the adequate provision of quality technical assistance for healthcare and development in Nigeria as part of the US President's Emergency Fund for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR II )'s central sustainability theme. The broadened scope of objectives has created the need for increased staff capacity around new and enlarged areas of focus.

We are recruiting for the positions of:

1.) Senior Stores Associate

Location: Abuja
Incumbent will be responsible for warehousing of pharmaceutical, laboratory and other healthcare commodities and equipment under ideal conditions and ambient temperatures
Distribution of such commodities and equipment to supported sites
Maintenance of inventory records in the central store and the supervision of same at supported sites.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability
First degree or equivalent in stores management, logistics, business management or related area with at least 3 years post NYSC experience preferably in an HIV/AIDS program
Proficiency in MS Access and Excel use.
Be capable of challenging physical activities; Be attentive to details and Be capable of working with minimal supervision

2.) Stores Associate

Location: Abuja
Incumbent will be responsible for maintaining Stores in the central office and at the state offices as required
Assist to maintain warehousing of pharmaceutical, laboratory and other healthcare commodities and equipment under ideal conditions and ambient temperatures
Assist in the distribution of such commodities and equipment to sites
Maintenance of inventory records and the supervision of same at sites. Ensure bin cards are updated at all times to document entry or exit of any items into /out of the store.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability
First degree in stores management, logistics, business management or related area with at least two years experience in a similar role, preferably in an H IV/AIDS program
Proficiency in MS Access and Excel use.
Be capable of challenging physical activities; Be attentive to details and Be capable of working with minimal supervision

3.) Stores Room Assistant- x2

Location: Abuja
Incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the stores in the central office
Assist with the maintenance and warehousing of pharmaceutical, laboratory and other healthcare commodities and equipment under ideal conditions and ambient temperatures
Assist in the distribution of such commodities and equipment to Supported sites
Assist in the maintenance of inventory records in the central store

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability
National Diploma or Nigerian Certificate in Education or additional skills developed through formal training in stores management, logistics, business management or related area  or with at least one years experience in a similar role, preferably in an HIV/AIDS program
Proficiency in MS Access and Excel use.
Be capable of challenging physical activities; Be attentive to details and Be capable of working with minimal supervision.

General Requirements
All positions require candidates that are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, computer applications and Internet/Emails
Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Significant amount of travel may be involved for all positions.
Commitment to and understanding of organizations vision, values and principles including rights-based/gender approaches would be expected.
