Play a leading and critical role in promoting a culture of excellence in the areas of Health, Safety and the Environment function
The Health Safety and Environment Department will be responsible for the management of both the environmental (ISO14001) and health and safety management system (ISO18001) and to the company and Country Standards.
The Health Safety and Environment Department is a source of expertise advisory on all HSE issues to Line
Management and all personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out safety inspections on a daily basis and give immediate feedback to safety coordinator
- Participate in task risk assessments by being a resource to departmental crews
- To inspect and ensure emergency equipment are functional and available
- Participate in fire and medical drills to ensure adequate preparedness and response
- Participate in Environmental and Safety auditing
- Brief workforce/supervisors on HSE issues, incl. toolbox talks and safety inductions
- Monitor and Report non-conformance's and corrective actions
- Report and escalate all incidents and injuries to safety coordinator
- Liaison with Local Authorities and the general public as required
Education
- Environmental / Safety or related qualification
- OND in Science / Engineering / Technical Subjects
Knowledge and Experience
- Min 2 years of HSE experience in Cement/ Construction / Manufacturing
- Interpersonal and Management Skills
- Good level of data entry
- Good communication skills
- Good problem solving and trouble shooting skills
- Ability to work well within diverse teams
