We are recruiting to fill the following position:

Job Title: Procurement Coordinator

Location: Lagos, Nigeria, Africa

Activities

• Assist the Package Controls Manager in all activities related to procurement, highlighting areas of concern, and any slippage to the scheduled delivery dates.
• Maintain custody of the Scope of Supply and keep up-to-date; set up and maintain the SPS Equipment Catalogue containing detailed scope of supply, procurement data, drawings and pictures.
• Monitor the equipment delivery dates, check the overall coherence of the level 3 schedule and provide feedback to SPS Management team.
• Follow up all Procurement activities including expediting and inspection, in accordance with the Project and Company procedures.
• Responsible for the implementation, control and updating of the Project Procurement Plan on a weekly basis.
• Ensure that all the delivery dates are met by the Vendors / sub-contractors; Monitoring of supplier performance and providing information and updates for the project schedule.
• Develop and maintain monitoring tools for Procurement activities including metrics for evaluation of supplier performance
• Develop and maintain tracking registers for logistics / shipment of deliveries to Company and internal deliveries with Contractor’s organisation
• Track and collate interim and acceptance certificates issued in connection with the SPS equipment.
• Assist in review of all importation/exportation documentation.
• Participate in organizing and coordinating meetings necessary to fulfill his/her job responsibility
• Communicate with SPS Contractor’s team for solving of routine issues and provide advice on the resolution of any supply chain issues problems
• Track and expedite Company materials to ensure timely delivery.
• Works closely with Planning Engineer to ensure all critical materials will be delivered on schedule.
• Works closely with QA Coordinator to ensure all required, testing , witnessing and inspections are identified within the Project Procurement Plan.
• Works closely with Interface Lead to ensure all company provided items will be delivered on schedule.
• Works closely with Package Leads to ensure all critical materials will be delivered on schedule.

• Accountabilities
• The candidate will be experienced in EPC contracts related to subsea facilities, with previous experience of working for an Operator.
• This is very much a “hands on “role, requiring engagement on a detailed level with a wide range of issues.
• As Procurement Coordinator’s primary focus is required to be on delivery of SPS Equipments in accordance with Contract requirements.
• The objective of the role is to provide state of the art tracking system to manager on-time delivery, within budget and to specification.
• The Procurement Coordinator will be required to monitor and pro-actively follow-up all aspects of the SPS Contractor’s performance that participate to the achievement of this objective. Procurement Coordinator will be assisted in his endeavours by a Planning Engineer, Engineering team, QC / surveillance team and Package leads support.
• The Procurement Coordinator will report to the SPS Project Control Lead.

Requirement
Qualification:

• Degree Preferred in Business, Purchasing, or member of CIPS, but not mandatory with supplementary qualifying courses or seminars and a suitable level of experience.
• Professional Experience (number of years): 7 - 10 years experience ideally of
• Procurement/Materials Management environment in the Oil and Gas industry. The Procurement Coordinator will be required to demonstrate a proactive and innovative approach to supplier management and may be required to develop, implement and establish procurement and material control systems.
• Mobility: placement is primarily in Lagos, Nigeria with the potential for international trips.
• Language: English fluent.
• Good level of computer literacy
• Flexibility with a proactive attitude and willingness to get the job done, High general PC skills, Good communication skills, high reliance on self-sufficiency, motivation and planning, and enthusiasm.
• Previous experience within a Supply Chain setting and experience and knowledge of the sub sea off shore industry.
