The Health Safety and Environment Department will be responsible for the management of both the environmental (ISO14001) and health and safety management system (ISO18001) and to company and Country Standards. The Health Safety and Environment Department is a source of expertise advisory on all HSE issues to Line Management and all personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement Health and safety Road Map including training materials and programs
- Provide adequate schedule and supervision for safety inspections
- Analyze daily inspection reports and generate corrective actions
- Participate in departmental and committee safety meetings on regular basis
- Participate in fire and medical drills to ensure adequate preparedness and response
- Participate in Environmental and Safety auditing
- Provide relevant HSE training to employees, contractors and visitors
- Monitor and Report non-conformance's and corrective actions, including accident investigation
- Maintain record of all incidents and injuries and completion of monthly Health Safety and Environmental KPI’s
- Liaison with Local Authorities and the general public as required
- Ensure all statutory returns are completed
Education
- NEBOSH Certificate, Environmental / Safety or related qualification
- First Degree in Science / Engineering / Technical Subjects
- Knowledge and Specific Knowledge
- International and Management Skills
- Good level of data entry, analysis and reporting skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills
- Ability to work well within diverse teams
- Self-Motivated with a proven ability to motivate others
- Display a drive, flair and passion for HSE results
