We work closely with our clients to determine their requirements and adopt a holistic approach to development. Our client, one of the 11 electricity distribution companies that emerged from the unbundled PHCN, in order to improve on its operational efficiency, wishes to recruit the position below:

1. HEAD – INTERNAL RISK MANAGEMENT

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Manages Internal Audit department that aims at providing the Board and senior management assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of controls in the company’s business systems.
  • Helps the company accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, controls and governance process.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics and relevant accounting professional qualification. Advanced degree is optional but may accord advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience, at least 6 of which should be as the team leader of an internal audit function.
  • Strong analytical, investigative and management skills.


2. COMPANY SECRETARY/LEGAL ADVISER

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The Company Secretary and Legal Adviser carries out effective and efficient advisory role on legal matters by providing adequate communication and compliance with statutory provisions.
  • He attends the meetings of the company, the Board of Directors and its committees, rendering all necessary secretarial services in respect of meetings and advising on compliance with the applicable rules and regulations.
  • He maintains the registers and other statutory records for the company and renders proper returns and notifications as required by the Corporate Affairs Commission.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • LLB and BL. Advanced degrees and professional qualifications are optional but may accord advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience with progressive responsibilities, 5 of which should be in a Company Secretary function.
  • Excellent team building and analytical skills.

3. HEAD – ENVIONMENTAL & SOCIAL UNIT

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The Head, Environmental and Social Unit is responsible for overseeing the environmental performance of the organizations by developing, implementing and monitoring environmental strategies, policies and programs that promote sustainable development in line with the corporate strategy and statutory environmental requirements.
  • He carries out environmental audits and assessments, identifying and resolving environmental problems and ensures necessary changes are implemented.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Studies, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Advanced degrees and professional qualifications are optional but may accord advantage
  • Minimum of 10 years experience with progressive responsibilities 5 of which should be in the management environmental functions.
  • Excellent analytical skill, communication and interpersonal relations.


4. HEAD – HEALTH & SAFETY

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The Head Health and Safety is responsible for ensuring that all safety legislation is adhered to and that policies and practices for safety are adopted.
  • He plans, implements, monitors and reviews the protective and preventative measures that the company adopts in line with statutory requirements and works to minimize operational losses, occupational health problems, accidents and injuries.
  • He plays a key role in controlling occupational risk.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Advanced degrees and professional qualifications are optional but may accord advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience with progressive responsibilities 5 of which should be in the management of Safety functions
  • Excellent analytical skill, communication and interpersonal relations.


5. HEAD – REWARDS, SYSTEMS & HRIS

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The Head Rewards, Systems and HRIS develops the plans for human resource information management and the administration of rewards.
  • He Maintains and enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies for employee compensation, pension, bonuses, salary reviews and performance management.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Mathematical sciences, Social sciences, Humanities and Engineering. Advanced degrees and professional qualifications are optional but may accord advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience with progressive responsibilities 5 of which should be in the management of Human Resources functions.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication and interpersonal relations. 


6. HEAD – DEVELOPMENT & LEARNING

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Develops, manages and facilitates the organization’s learning and development function to achieve strategically-aligned business unit and department results.
  • Measures performance to gauge success of programs and drive continuous improvement in organizational development and learning.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Human Resources Management, Social sciences, Humanities & Organisational Development. Advanced degrees and professional qualifications are optional but may accord advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience with progressive responsibilities 5 of which should be in the management of Human Resources functions and organisational development/ training.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication and interpersonal relations.


7. HEAD – CUSTOMER CARE & RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The Head Customer Care and Relationship is responsible for the planning, successful execution and follow up for a diverse range of customer retention campaigns to ensure that the needs of customers are constantly satisfied.
  • He is responsible for developing an excellent customer service program and promoting the idea throughout the organization.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree in Customer Relations Management, Marketing, Humanities & Social Sciences. Advanced degrees and professional qualifications are optional but may accord advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience, at least 5 of which should be at management level in Customer Relations function.
  • Strong management, negotiation, communication and interpersonal relations skills.


8. HEAD – SECURITY

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by establishing and enforcing security policies and procedures, supervising the security guard force.
  • Security officers also ensure the safety of people on their employer’s premises.
  • Plan, develop and implement security programs such as physical security, emergency response, information protection, incident management and investigation.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • LLB, Security management, Social sciences. Advanced degrees and professional qualifications are optional but may accord advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience, at least 6 of which should be at senior security position with experience in the Police or Military service would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, investigative and management skills.


9 .OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The Operations research analyst identifies performance indicators and develops quality assurance strategies for the company.
  • He/she will formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions.
  • Collect and analyze data and develop decision support software, service, or products. 
  • Facilitating an in-depth understanding of the organization’s operations.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or Economics. Advanced degrees and professional qualifications are optional but may accord advantage.
  • Minimum of 4 years post qualification experience, at least 3 of which should be at a similar role.
  • Strong analytical, management, negotiation, communication and interpersonal relations skills.
  • Good knowledge of relevant Microsoft office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and other Data Analyzing or modeling software.


11. HEAD – BUSINESS ANALYST AND CORPORATE PERFORMANCE MONITORING

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The Head Business Analyst and Corporate Performance Monitoring has the responsibility to provide subject matter expertise on organizational performance and statistical functions.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering and Economics. Advanced degrees and professional qualifications are optional but may accord advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience, at least 5 of which should be at management level in related function.
  • Strong analytical, management, negotiation, communication and interpersonal relations skills.
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills and an ability to work well under tight deadlines and changing priorities, with attention to detail.
  • High Level ownership and responsibility. Self-starter must be productive with ability to work without supervision.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.


12. REAL ESTATE MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The Real estate Manager will oversee the daily activities and financial aspects of all the Company’s premises.
  • An ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently as well as in a team environment, will have a working knowledge of the territory, and will demonstrate strong character and ethical values.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Real Estate Management, Urban and Regional planning. Advanced degrees and professional qualifications are optional but may accord advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience, at least 3 of which should be at a similar role
  • A thorough knowledge of real estate development strategy, lease negotiations and execution
  • Able to set priorities in the face of multiple projects
  • Strong Excel skills, preferred experience with Excel basic formulas
  • Ability to read construction documents – Preferred not required
  • Have hands on experience, especially in the area of renovations
  • Must be familiar with real estate management in Abuja.


13. WORKS & FACILITY MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • The Works and Facility Manager ensures that the resources and general infrastructures of the company is properly maintained.
  • He will be responsible for bringing additional value to the properties of the company by maintaining them efficiently and also for securing the properties.
  • A facilities manager will help the Company to get as much as they can out of their facilities, assisting in meeting their business objectives. The aim is to help the company to function effectively on a day-to-day basis, and to provide a safe, efficient and comfortable working environment for staff.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Civil or Building Engineering, Quantity Survey, Building Management. Advanced degrees and professional qualifications are optional but may accord advantage, especially if in facilities management
  • Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience, at least 3 of which should be at a similar role
  • Have hands on experience, especially in the area of renovations and / or facilities management
  • Must possess a sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation within the built environment
  • Must have excellent people skills as there will be interaction with people at different levels in the organization
  • Must be excellent at time management and possess the ability to handle a complex workload
  • Strong analytical, management, negotiation, communication and interpersonal relations skills.


14. HEAD – STORES

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The Head Stores oversees the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispensing of stored materials to user departments.
  • He collaborates internally across all departments of the company with regards to dispensing of departmental requisitions and externally with suppliers; ensuring standards are met in the purchase of materials.
  • He plays a strategic role in planning, coordinating, reviewing and administration storage policies.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • B.Sc degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Advanced degrees and professional qualifications are optional but may accord advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience, at least 5 of which should be at management level in related function
  • Strong analytical, management, negotiation, communication and interpersonal relations skills.
