Job Overview
The Software Solution Architect will:


  • Act as visionary and strategic lead for Software Development and Business Analysis and Solution Teams
  • Develop and execute innovative solution strategy and business plans
  • Shape, design, and plan client-specific service lines
  • Spearhead innovative approach to product marketing and product development
  • Survey the ICT market landscape for solution insights, direction and vendors
  • Provide expertise in translating client requirements into software design documentation
  • Guide end-to-end IT solution and designs
  • Provide professional, timely and effective solution design and implementation services and expert advice on complex matters relating to the desktop & server environment, network topology and ICT infrastructure.
  • Provide expert technical advice on the establishment and maintenance of a robust and scalable ICT architecture that will support ICT and business strategies
  • Coordinate the identification and resolution of complex ICT troubleshooting activities to ensure appropriate technical support
  • Apply expert technical knowledge to the development of ICT policies, procedures and the formulation of a robust Software Architecture.
Experience and Technical Knowledge
  • Hands on experience in undertaking complex ICT projects and providing ICT solution design services that align with organisational objectives and business requirements
  • Experience in identifying technical issues, thinking laterally and applying analytical skills to develop appropriate options for resolution.
  • Significant experience in the provision of specialist technical advice, support and assistance within an information technology environment covering many ICT technologies and environments.
  • Significant knowledge of ICT-related government legislation, policies, procedures and systems.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Java etc
  • Up to date on various operating systems such as Windows NT, Windows, LINUX etc
  • SQL, MYSQL, Oracle etc
  • Proven experience in establishing and maintaining server, storage and network infrastructure on a wide range of platforms and technologies.
  • High level communication skills and provision of expert advice on ICT issues of a critical and complex nature.

Person Specification:

  • We require a Software Solutions Architect who is visionary and strategic to the development of solutions from inception to execution
  • A broad understanding across all platforms (software, systems and network engineering)
  • Strategic leadership skills in coordinating software development activities and business analysis.
  • The Software Solutions Architect should possess technical knowledge and sound business acumen.

Minimum Academic Qualification and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree/HND in a relevant field (Computer Science/Engineering/Information Technology/Information Systems) from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 4 years in a supervisory role.
  • Professional Certifications:
  • Possession of either (or a combination) of the following certifications will be an added advantage:
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA),
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
