Job Title: Site Manager (m/f)

Location: Lagos/ worldwide deployment

Role & Responsibility:

  • Coordination of supervisor deployments with vendors and own personnel for complex large construction sites in coordination with the project management
  • Processing of complex inquiries and technical derivations for the area of installation supervision
  • Generation and administration of installation schedules including man-hour calculations
  • Independent representation of the company during complex projects on site
  • Site organisation, management and coordination of subcontractors
  • Supervision of costs, activities and quality regarding construction projects
  • Scheduling, monitoring and reporting on assembly work
  • Expediting and quality control for local manufacturing
  • Controlling the order budget and incoming invoices
  • Customer contact and communication partner on site
  • Claim management and reporting to the project manager
  • Technical elaborations/ audits with regard to installation supervision
  • Regular communication with headquarters and customers
  • Responsible for ensuring safety regulations and measures are complied with all relevant company safety procedures and guidelines on site

Requirements:

  • University degree in mechanical engineering
  • Several years of professional experience in site management (preferably in the cement industry)
  • Confident manner in dealing with customers
  • Proficient in project management methods
  • Experience in cost and budget control and scheduling management
  • Sound communication skills, an outstanding ability to work in a team and a confident manner
  • Business-fluent spoken and written English
  • Willingness to travel to various locations and to stay an extended time
