Job Description
Monitor Fabrication Contractors to ensure that project safety, health and environmental requirements are met.
Demonstrate personal commitment to the SHE Policy, Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company SHE standards, actively participate in company safety awareness and initiative schemes.
Participate in Company's planning meetings, risk assessments, toolbox talks, safety meetings, etc.
Spend the majority of time at the workplace to monitor performance of work and to coach and encourage company's personnel to achieve an acceptable safety, health and environmental performance.
Maintain good relationships with contractors. Where necessary intervene to stop work where appropriate standards are not met.
To ensure that all project personnel are motivated appropriately with respect to SSHE concerns and best practices
To ensure that appropriate SSHE policies, plans, and procedures are formulated and implemented during the entire Project duration, including construction, and commissioning
Liaise with other disciplines to improve effectiveness of the overall team
Requirements
University degree in a technical discipline
Relevant fabrication and construction experience particular in an EP&C company.
Good spoken and written English.
Recognised professional safety qualification, Chartered Safety Professional preferred.
NEBOSH General or International Certificate
Terms & Conditions
For this position preference will be given to Nigerian nationals. In case expatriate candidates are selected, it is a prerequisite he/she is tasked to mentor and train a Nigerian understudy.
