We are recruiting to fill the below job position;

Job Title: Business Manager - Corporate, SME and High Value (West)
Location: Ibadan, Oyo State

Job Description
Increased regional drive for new Corporate, SME and High Value Consumer Business Opportunities
Responsible for developing strategies, route to market and sales activity and implementation plan for the acquisition & retention of prospective and existing accounts in the zone
Manage Performance management tools for DSA channels and Channel Managers in the zones.
Provide Strategic Support to enhance the delivery on regional targets
Supervises teams to ensure proper sales pipeline activity. Ensures active nurturing of deals and movement of opportunities to close.

Performance management

  • Provide strategic support to enhance the delivery on regional corporate sales targets.
  • Develop procedures for setting corporate and communicating sales targets and monitoring performance.
  • Deploy relevant metrics to routinely monitor progress against targets and recommend appropriate remedial actions to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Effectively manage corporate salesmen incentive target to ensure drive for greater performance.
  • Provide sales performance data to support management decision making
  • Ensures timely submission of updated pipeline in a weekly basis.
  • Maintains an Account Development Plan (ADP) for all accounts under the regional portfolio and ensures timely submission of same to HQ on a monthly basis.
  • Directly supervises the day to day activities of the Key Account Managers.
  • Ensure that all receivables and Bills are up to date in terms of collections.
  • To ensure the timely execution of all enterprise contracts especially from the customer end (i.e. sign off).
  • Assured Sustainable Revenue Growth in the region. 
  • Proactively protects Airtel’s position and claims Airtel market leadership positions in strategic solution areas.
  • Meets or exceeds Month-on-Month, Quarterly and Annual revenue & margin quotas.
  • Proactive Competitor Intelligence and Market Insight. 
  • Monitor and collate all activities of competition in zone and implement or recommend counter measures to win competition.
  • Encourage and develop opportunities to have Airtel presence in all relevant areas related to the segment, across the zone
  • Expand Sales Channels and Route to Market 
  • Identify and recruit suitable 3rd party sales partners for customer acquisition across the zone
  • Develop tool kit for performance management of third party sales agencies and contract staff
  • Take ownership for ensuring availability of sales resourcing required to meet the zonal targets
  • Responsible for applying the appropriate control to ensure quality of service by third party sales partners
  • Trade and Sales team information dissemination and Training 
  • Carry out regular corporate sales training needs analysis
  • Coordinate content development and delivery of skill enhancement programs to enhance professionalism of the corporate sales team
  • Effective interpretation and cascade of all new enterprise value propositions (trade & customer) to the  regional corporate sales team

Desired Skills & Experience

Educational Qualifications  & Functional / Technical Skills

  • Bachelors in Science and Technology related courses, Economics, Business Administration or  any other Social Sciences courses.
  • Masters in Business Administration would be preferred additional qualification - MBA in Marketing or Postgraduate degree with specialization in Marketing will also be preferred.
  • Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years) 
  • 5 - 7 years of work experience with ~ 3years of relevant experience in Telecom Industry.
  • Of these years 2 - 3 years should be in telecom Corporate and enterprise solution products/ services sales/marketing.
  • A minimum of 2 years in Management role.
  • Extensive knowledge of telecom enterprise business data products and applicable markets
