Job Title: Engineer-Drive Test (Lagos)
Division: Network Operations
Reports To: Senior Engineer-Drive Test Management

Job Description
Conduct network performance drive test reports in line with Etisalat Nigeria’s Quality of Service (QoS) strategy
Conduct regular voice and data drive tests on the 2G/3G network using standard test methodology according to schedule and routes specified by the QoS team
Conduct benchmark drive test between Etisalat Nigeria and other operators within specified timeframes
Conduct ad hoc voice and data 2G and 3G drive tests on demand as directed
Maintain accurate and updated database of all routes, clusters and configuration data
Propose new cluster allocations based on environmental constraints
Pre-process measurement log formats for post-processing tool inputs and analyses
Prepare reports from drive test using MapInfo and/ or other GIS tools
Provide recommendations to improve coverage and quality problems encountered on the field
Assist Performance Engineers with analysis of measurement data as required
New test tool acceptance and calibration
Identify drive test tool defects and report such defects, including software and hardware defects
Track, test and deploy software correction patches and new functionalities on measurement tools
Define call sequences on drive test tools for voice calls and data sessions
Perform call set-up time test as and when required
Qualification/ Experience
First degree or equivalent in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering and/ or any other relevant discipline
At least two (2) years’ directly relevant post-NYSC work experience
Good knowledge of GSM network and 2G/ 3G technologies
Proficiency with MapInfo and/ or any other GIS software
Good knowledge of Layer 3 message and system information interpretation
Good knowledge of drive test tools such as TEMS, Agilent, etc
Good computer literacy (MS Office, Powerpoint, etc)
Good reporting and communication skills
