Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be
responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of DealDey’s
operations. He/she will provide leadership and coordination in the
administrative, business planning, accounting, finance and budgeting work. The
CFO will provide critical financial insight and strategic support to the CEO
and Board of Directors as the organization continues to grow and evolve.
Brief
Duties
- Create, coordinate, and evaluate the financial programs and supporting information systems to include budgeting and safeguarding of assets.
- Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure and position control documents, department budgets, salary updates, general ledger, account maintenance and data entry.
- Oversee all aspects of accounting, including cash flow planning, reporting, organizational and departmental budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analysis and information reports.
- Approve and coordinate changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems
- Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas and provide recommendations and possible solutions.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal reporting requirements
- Coordinate and facilitate annual external audit.
- Interact with CEO and Senior members of staff to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analysis, reports and recommendations.
- Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs and systems.
- Perform other duties to be assigned by the CEO/Board of Directors

Qualifications
and Requirements:
- First degree or its equivalent in Accounting, as well as a relevant second degree (MBA preferred from a recognised University)
- Professional accounting qualification – ACA or ACCA or other recognised professional body
- Minimum of 7- 10 years of progressive financial management experience in financial analysis and reporting preferably in the retail sector; with the last 5 being in a senior management capacity.
- Strong analytical skills, organization, compliance and goal oriented.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required for relationship building particularly as it relates to professional peers.
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within strict time frames as well as simultaneously manage several projects.
- Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Excel.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current accounting standards and procedures (e.g. IFRS )
