Job Title: System Engineer O&M (SEOM)
Responsibilities
- Supports Project Technical Manager in the definition of engineering systems in finding integrated and competitive solutions and a shared challenging approach to tender documents.
- Ensure that proper communication is set up among the various disciplines involved in a defined engineering system so as to have an integrated, competitive solutions and a shared challenging approach to contractual requirements.
- Ensure the carrying out of the engineering activities in the defined engineering system or for the procurement of materials and construction services.
- Ensure the preparation of construction document in the defined engineering system or facility giving the correct priority and sequences, in accordance with defined plans and consistent with the construction schedule.
- Supports Project Technical Manager in coordinating and supervising the execution of outsourced engineering activities.
- Supports Project Technical Manager and Project Manager in managing Engineering issues with clients.
- Ensure the review and application of the contractual documents.
- Ensure that proper interdisciplinary verifications and controls take place during the development of engineering activities in order to minimize changes during construction.
- Analyse, within his area of responsibility, criticalities in construction program and prepare recovery plans where needed.
- Elaborate specific plans within his area of responsibility to monitor and control all necessary parameters and manage the variance.
- Approve engineering documents within its area of responsibility.
- Contribute to project reporting particularly in the engineering aspects.
- Supports Field Engineering Manager and Construction Manager ensuring the availability of the necessary engineering documents within its area of responsibility.
- Supports Field Engineering Manager to find solutions to engineering modifications.
- Supports Field Engineering Manager to solve client and subcontractors queries.
- Supports Field Engineering Manager, within its area of responsibility in ensuring the availability of the necessary material according to the construction plan.
Required Professional Skills
- Knowledge of engineering of Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Systems.
- Ability to plan Discipline engineering activities and documentation deliverables in order to meet Project schedule milestones considering design workflows and engineering interfaces with all other Project Disciplines and functions.
- Ability to manage all the interdisciplinary reviews needed to define and optimize the concerned engineering system.
- Familiarity with the engineering of Mechanical Equipments, Machinery and Packages and the main impact on other disciplines in the following activities:
- Design development.
- Procurement Cycle.
- Vendor data availability.
- Knowledge of Fabrication and Installation techniques.
- Familiarity with the development of engineering systems, managing all interfaces with disciplines and functions in order to comply with the schedules.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering for the design of mechanical items and with the selection of materials,
Qualification and Experience
Have specific experience in conversion and/or new built floater design, involving mainly oil and gas upstream.
Have a specific knowledge of the fabrication, T and I requirements and other design ancillaries such as turret and mooring, related to project engineering execution.
A strong background and Industry Practice, in Mooring/ Installation/SURF and integration during facility design.
A University degree in Engineering with at least 5 years working experience in Designs.
