GE Energy recently signed an MOU with the Nigeria's Federal Ministry of Power.The purpose of the MoU is to jointly develop 10GW over 10 years with the Fed govt of Nigeria and Private sector power developers. The MOU Development team lead implementation of the MOU by originating, structuring&execution of incremental power generation projects which will drive profitable growth for GE Energy in Nigeria. Role Summary/Purpose:

This position will serve as the focal point for delivering strategic IT programs and initiatives across Sub Sahara Africa (SSA) region including mobility, next generation solutions, non-ERPs systems and standard financial and employee system platforms.
The Program Leader will drive business solutions implementation strategy and identify opportunities to improve operational productivity through the use of standard, next generation and mobility platforms.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead delivery of all strategic IT applications / solutions in Sub Sahara Africa; manage project portfolio and process digitization efforts for shared services (i.e. employee & financial)
• Lead all non-ERP application delivery efforts in Sub Sahara Africa
• Manage relationships with development teams, super-users, and functional owners to reduce implementation cycle time while minimizing defects and system issues
• Establish key GE internal & external partnerships to deliver application digitization programs efficiently
• Prioritize, analyze and resolve cross-functional issues throughout the project implementation life cycle
• Drive initiatives to improve employee experience and productivity across the region; Additionally, serve as in-region Employee Experience, Mobility and Next Generation IT Solutions point-of-contact by deploying corporate initiatives into the region
• Champion IT Team branding across the region and drive programs to increase employee satisfaction
• Deliver Next Generation & mobility solutions within SSA; liaise with business I.T leaders to deliver programs and training
• Provide Project Management leadership to develop effective working & communication rhythms and with relevant functional and IT stakeholders including Training, Communications, etc.
• Provide visibility and metrics surrounding IT project health, prioritization and progress to executive stakeholders and team within the region supporting senior leadership presentations
• Attract, mentor and coach other SSA IT team members including experienced hires and pipeline development teams
• Lead and/or support other Sub Sahara Africa IT initiatives as identified by regional CIO

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT) or Computer Science.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in medium to large project / program and successful implementation of technology solutions
• Minimum 3 years project management experience (PMP certification preferred)
• Demonstrated project management skills including project initiation, scoping, resorting, scheduling, budgeting, risk management and communication
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff and to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems
• Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects.

• MBA or Advanced degree in IT related field
• 10+ years of strong IT experience and leadership
• Experience with process improvement
• Experience with GE processes, methodologies and reporting methods
• Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt certified/Demonstrated experience with Lean initiatives
• Project Management (PMP) certification
